Slum Dog is a good movie. I truly enjoyed it and thought that the score was great. That said, I am very upset to see the hype and recognition that this movie gets when Bollywood turns out GREAT movies every year. These movies out shine Slum Dod several times over yet they go unrecognized but the academy because they are “bollywood films.” Shah Rukh Kahn, Hrtik Roshan, Ashwariya Rai among others have given us unforgettable performances in movies like JodiAkbar, Veer Zara, and most recently Billu Barber. These movies go unnoticed because they aren’t seen by main stream America which is sad! America needs to wake up to Bollywood!

“The message is that one has to come over all limitations to chase one’s dreams, and the boy in the film has proved it,” said Sonu, the most informed college drop-out from Katputli Nagar slum.  -via the Times of India
